A classic from Buenos Aires, Argentina, an likely inspired by Italian immigrants in the early 20th century, this empanada blends fresh mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, sautéed scallions and yellow onion, roasted garlic and a mix of fine spices. This empanada is open-faced and round. Spicy level: mild.
Our regular empanadas are on average about 2.35 oz each. Depending on the filling they could be a little more or less. The dough is very thin, puffy and flaky, most of the weight and volume is made out of the filling.
