Authentic old fashioned empanada recipe from Argentina. Made with hand-sliced flap or short ribs meat, fresh sautéed yellow onion and scallions, hard boiled egg, pitted green olives, corn oil, butter and a mix of fine spices. Spicy level: mild
Our regular empanadas are on average about 2.35 oz each. Depending on the filling they could be a little more or less. The dough is very thin, puffy and flaky, most of the weight and volume is made out of the filling.
